Will you join me to eliminate the use of plastic grocery bags?
Sustainability is at the forefront of design these days... but how do we become sustainable? In our busy everyday lives we often do not take the time to think about what small measures we could do to help our beautiful planet. In the US, consumers use 240,000 bags every 20 seconds. One artist , Chris Jordan , has created art to show the world what these 240,000 bags look like when grouped together. It seems like a no brainer to eliminate them but I have many times found myself checking out , only to realize I have forgotten my bags in the car.... About 4 months ago after seeing this image I pledged to do a better job and now use reusable bags everywhere from the grocery, to the mall , and even home improvement stores.. They live in my car and go everywhere with me. Will you join me in this one small step of sustainability?
